(Democratic Republic of the Congo - DRC, CD, Central Africa)

Photo of the Provincial parliament building in the Katanga ProvinceThere is something of a dearth of museums and art galleries in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The country's two main museums can be found in Kinshasa and Lubumbashi.

Some private organisations within the Democratic Republic of the Congo may also hold their own libraries or collections, although a little local knowledge is often needed to locate these. The University of Kinshasa Museum is particularly notable and a good place to learn more about local history.
